Lucky Dawg Rescue works to provide homes for pets unable to be cared for
It’s been nearly two years since Lucky Dawg Rescue was established as a local nonprofit to provide a path to loving homes for pets that can no longer be cared for. In that amount of time, the 501(c)(3) has rehomed over 300 pets with previous owners who either died or were unable to support their pets.
Lucky Dawg Rescue owner Patty Markowski will be a guest on a future episode of the Talk of the Town on KTLO-FM, and she says the process of rehoming a pet normally begins with someone reaching out on Facebook.

Markowski says she has a network of foster-based rescuers located in Colorado.
